Slack
Connect VoxaLink to Slack so each user's calls are logged to their own Slack, with call details, after a quick per-user pairing.
The Slack integration sends a record of each user's calls into their own connected Slack. Once a person has paired their account, their incoming and outgoing calls are logged to Slack with the call details. This isn't a contact-lookup integration — it doesn't match numbers or pop records — it simply keeps a running note of calls where the user already works.
Setup has two halves: an admin turns it on for the tenant (or a group), then each user pairs their own Slack from the user portal.
Before you connect
- A Slack account for each person who wants their calls logged, with permission to authorise apps in that Slack workspace.
- Pairing is per user — there's no shared, tenant-wide connection. Anyone who wants their calls in Slack pairs individually.
Connect Slack in VoxaLink
- Open Admin → CRM Integrations and find Slack under Messaging.
- Click Configure and set Apply to — All accounts (tenant-wide), or a single permission group to make it available to one team first.
- Click Save. This makes Slack available to those users; it doesn't connect anyone on its own.
Each user then pairs from their own user portal:
- Open Settings → Slack.
- Click Pair, sign in to Slack and grant access when prompted.
- A checkmark confirms the account is paired.
What happens on a call
- Once a user has paired, their incoming and outgoing calls are logged to their connected Slack with the call details.
- There's nothing to match — Slack logging is tied to the user, not to a contact record, so unknown numbers are handled the same as known ones.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing appears in Slack — confirm the user has paired (Settings → Slack should show the checkmark). If not, run Pair again and grant access.
- A user can't pair — check Slack is enabled for their permission group under Apply to, and that they have rights to authorise apps in their Slack workspace.
- Pairing has stopped working — re-pair from Settings → Slack; the authorisation may have been revoked on the Slack side.
